If We're for Democracy, Why Are We Against Free Taiwan?

The Bush Administration, most recently through Secretary of State Colin L. Powell, has spoken out against the concept of an independent Taiwan. This surely means that we will stand by or even assist China in its goal of conquering that bastion of democracy in Asia. It's very hard for me to take all the democracy talk seriously when we are selling out free Taiwan into the hands of a dictatorship with serious human rights problems - not to mention nuclear missiles aimed at us. Stand up for Taiwan!

Please write your Congressman and urge her or him to defend Taiwan.
